Folk Choirs

The 8:15 am Folk Choir, directed by Deacon Shirley Algozzine, sings scripture songs at the 8:15 am worship service during Communion, generally on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month, with rehearsals held year-round immediately (about 15 minutes) before. This choir is accompanied by acoustic guitar and is open to anyone in the 8th grade and older, who loves to sing to the Lord.

The 10:30 am Folk Choir, directed by Deacon Shirley Algozzine, sings scripture songs every Sunday at the 10:30 am worship service during communion, and occasionally at other places during the service. Weekly practices are on Tuesday nights (following Adult Choir practice) at 8:30 pm, mid-September through mid-June, in the Music Room. This choir is accompanied by acoustic guitar and is open to anyone in the 8th grade and older who loves to sing to the Lord.

Annual Fall Open House - Tuesday, September 15 at 8:30 pm

A no-strings attached opportunity to see what it's like to be in the Folk Choir.

The Combined Folk Choirs also sing during holiday services, concerts, and on special occasions. This group is often asked to sing at weddings and funerals of congregational members and friends. Outreach concernts during the holiday season are a highlight for the Folk Choir.
